11 November 2011

The Argentina Ministry of Agriculture has approved for marketing Syngenta's Agrisure Viptera 3 in 2012/13. The triple stack trait provides broad spectrum control of pests of the family of the Lepidoptera (Diatraea saccharalis, Spodoptera frugiperda and Helicoverpa zea) that affect the aerial part of the culture. The modified variety also provides tolerance to glyphosate and glufosinate herbicides. The genetically modified corn has also been launched in Brazil.
